title: Evolving from weather forecasting to climate prediction

'Weather forecasting' as we know today is reliable up to a perid of about two weeks, beyond which it deteriorates sharply. The question of extending this predictability to include seasonal+ timescales is naturally a big challenge. We look at the challenges facing the ongoing transition from short-duration 'weather forecasting' to long-timescale 'climate prediction'.
