title: Gravitational wave physics: a biased roadmap
abstract:
LIGO and VIRGO detections initiated a new era in astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. The novel observational window that we have just opened is rich of opportunities. Indeed the forthcoming network of gravitational wave detectors will observe a plethora of phenomena that have never been measured before. In this talk we sketch the landscape of measurements that we plan to achieve in the next two decades. We moreover discuss how we can analyze standard siren and stochastic background data to constrain the expansion and particle content of the universe.
