Title: The quest for cosmological dark matter
abstract:
plethora of astrophysical observations all point consistently to the rather remarkable fact that only about 15% of the total matter content of the Universe consists of known forms of matter. In this talk, I will highlight some of the most convincing pieces of evidence we have for the existence of the remaining 85%, coined dark matter. I will discuss possible candidates and give an exemplary overview of endeavours to finally uncover the identity of this so abundant, and yet maybe most exotic form of matter.
